Crawfordsville, IN Dec 3- Daniel D. Hains, age 64, for many years professor of Greek in Wabash College from which he was graduated in 1895, died yesterday in a NY city hospital, following an operation. He left Crawfordsville 15 years ago to engage in the life insurance business in NY with Dumont M. Peck former merchant here. Mr. Hains joined the Wabash faculty immediately after graduation becoming head of the department in 1907. For several years before going to NY he was connected in an executive capacity with the Pioneer Box Manufacturing Company here after resigning his professorship in 1911. Funeral services will be held in NY Saturday with burial in Bayville, Long Island. The widow, Mrs. Lulu Hains, of this city and a son, Daniel B. Hains of Bayville survive.
